Bank Pool - The Choice is Yours

Welcome to the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Bank Pool

“Bank Pool” is the brand new name for the Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Staff Bank looking for Nursing, AP, HCA, Housekeeping or Admin shifts.

The Bank Pool enables you to complete shifts across all divisions, providing greater opportunities to gain experience and enhance your development in different work environments.

This option may suit people who cannot commit to a regular pattern of working from one week to the next, or those who find it difficult to find posts that provide the flexibility to suit them. It also suits individuals who wish to gain experience in different clinical areas or alternatively, would like to work extra hours.

Bank Pool is beneficial for departmental managers to ensure continuity of service delivery and to develop and retain staff for hard to fill vacancies across the Trust.

We are always looking to recruit to the Bank Pool, whether its current substantive staff interested in working more hours or external staff who would like to work solely through the Pool.

– Flexible hours to suit you

– Optional weekly pay

– Gain experience in a variety of specialties

– Variety of work in all clinical areas/settings

– Work shifts which fit in with your personal circumstances

– Keep your skills up to date. Many nurses join Bank Pool if working in the private sector or non-acute area to ensure they maintain their skills

– Learn new skills. Many student nurses join Bank Pool in order to gain numerous skills and experience which in turn, helps them with their training.

e-Rostering is now being actively used across all acute and community sites at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We currently have in excess of 9000 staff live on e-rostering which is to interfaced to Payroll.

The e-Rostering team work alongside the Bank Pool team to ensure safe staffing and effective rostering. Anybody with a Bank Pool worker agreement can now work across the trust in any division where relevant skills are held. This has seen a significant reduction in agency spend and positive steps in terms of retaining staff within the trust.

This site will introduce you to both teams, and will provide all the latest updates, documents and user guides, ability to check available bench shifts and much more.
