Doctors in training

After you have graduated from medical school, you will be able to join our two-year Foundation Programme. Once this is successfully completed, we will continue to act as your greatest supporters – offering you a specialism within the hospital or a training role in the community.

During your Foundation period, we combine curriculum-mapped teaching with hands-on clinical experience. This means that you will care for patients under the supervision of other more experienced doctors and medical professionals. Your programme of study is influenced by the General Medical Council through Health Education North West.
